Production Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Costing, purchase and delivery of products associated with the production in a timely manner, including but not limited to posters, playbills and merchandise for sale;
- Managing and strictly controlling the production budget;
- Booking and managing contracts for performance and rehearsal venues;
- Scheduling and coordinating all staff for fittings, rehearsals, and performance days;
- Planning and producing detailed production schedules, reports and a final Production
notebook with all pertinent information for archival purposes; - Ensuring adherence to schedules and deadlines by all team members;
- Scheduling and leading production meetings;
- Overseeing the load-in and strike of equipment, and taking a hands-on leadership role throughout production week;
- Managing tight budgets and bringing in the production within budget;
- Assisting in the facilitation of Production bill payment, managing receipts and coordinating with Bookkeeper and Managing director;
- Assisting with the hiring of designers and other production personnel;
- Preparing Contracts and all appropriate paperwork for all production personnel and cast members;
- Working collaboratively with the Artistic Director to ensure that all tasks are
properly assigned to and carried out by appropriate members of the
production and design teams; - Maintaining organization of all documents, both physical and electronic;

Lean & Hungry is seeking a stage manager for our production of KING LEAR. Rehearsal begins March 6; Tech begins March 27; Performances run through 4/24.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Setting up and running rehearsal schedules;
● Maintaining, tracking, and transporting all props, furniture and set dressings;
● Distributing information to the production team and cast, including nightly rehearsal reports;
● Supervising load in and strike;
● Compiling and operating the book;
● Cuing technicians and Running the board during performances;
● Ensuring the company's welfare and maintaining a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety, legislation and good working practice;
● Managing Laundry
● Supervising the ASM;
● Calling actors for rehearsals and performances
Compensation: $500 stipend

- Lean & Hungry uses a modern, conversational sound for Classical texts.
- Our actors create several unique character voices in any given show. It is important that each character's voice be completely different from any other voice an actor creates.
- Stay present in a scene with a partner by contributing vocal reactions to others' lines.
- You must have professional Shakespeare experience to be considered for an audition.
